Probably my favourite dragonfly species, and almost certainly the most easily identifiable, even if it's not one of the easier ones to find. It's the longest dragonfly species in Britain. This Golden-ringed dragonfly was meandering around a Dorset heathland, before
conveniently settling on this bramble long enough for a photograph.
